Remembering longer patterns
- Chunk it. Nobody holds eleven separate taps — they hold three groups of three or four, the way you hold a phone number.
- Leave the sound on. Each tile has its own note, so the pattern becomes a short tune as well as a shape — two memories are harder to lose than one.
- Don't rush your reply. The clock only runs while the pattern is playing; once it's your turn you have all the time you want.
